I don't own any Gundam Seed or any of it's characters.... which makes
me sad since so many characters with so much potential weren't fully developed!

My Happy Ending
Miriallia felt sleep lazily leave her as she felt
the warm arm that held her firmly around the waist, keeping her close against
the solid figure behind her. A face nuzzled into her neck gently and she
giggled when the action tickled her. Dearka grumbled in response at the noise
and kissed her neck, smiling when that generated more laughter.
She reached up and ran her hand through his messy
blonde hair, her other hand stroking his arm. Their bare legs were tangled
amongst each other and the warmth and security he brought her made her want to
snuggle closer and never leave the bed.
Since the war began and her world fell apart, she
had believed that she would never be able to get back on her feet again. Her home
was destroyed, her support was killed, and everyone was too consumed in their
own problems to comfort one another.
But there was that one person who did care, even
when he should have been more worried about himself since he was currently a
prisoner of war. He had watched as she cried and held her even when she yelled
at him to let go because he knew despite her screams, the one thing she wanted
most was to hold onto someone and cry, to forget the traumas of this war and
the horrors she had seen for a temporary moment of peace.
Eventually, his patience bore fruit, a turnabout
that was especially noticed when it was her turn to comfort him.
Just like her, he had been so terribly alone,
especially after he had defected to join her side, to defend her from those who wanted her dead. But
this meant betraying his comrades in arm, his brothers who had always watched
his back for him.
So during the moment he had been alone,
contemplating and saddened, she gave him the comfort he had always given her.
And it was then that she truly found solace in
this ridiculous war... and was able to accept the hope that perhaps things will
be alright in the end.
“Thanks Dearka,” she murmured softly.
“Mm?” he inquired sleepily.
